Alternatively, you can take the Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District (MTD) bus route 15 from Santa Barbara to Carpinteria State Beach. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes and the bus stop is located just a short walk from the beach.

If you are coming from further away, you can fly into the Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) and then take a taxi or ride-sharing service to Carpinteria State Beach. The airport is located about 21 miles (33.7km) northwest of the beach.
