To get to Carpinteria State Beach from Santa Barbara, you can take Highway 101 South and exit at Casitas Pass Road. Turn left onto Casitas Pass Road and then turn right onto Carpinteria Avenue. Follow Carpinteria Avenue until it turns into Palm Avenue, and then turn left onto Ocean View Avenue. You will see the beach on your left.

Alternatively, you can take the Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District (MTD) bus route 15 from Santa Barbara to Carpinteria State Beach. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes and the bus stop is located just a short walk from the beach.

If you are coming from further away, you can fly into the Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) and then take a taxi or ride-sharing service to Carpinteria State Beach. The airport is located about 21 miles (33.7km) northwest of the beach.
